What this project is
Below The Unknown creates short videos imagining what it might feel like to explore the deep: shipwrecks, caves, reefs and the creatures that live there, shown from a diver's first-person point of view.
The scenes in Below The Unknown videos are created with AI (generative) tools. They are entertainment and are not recordings of real dives, real discoveries or real events. Because the footage can look realistic, the project’s publishing tool marks each upload on YouTube as containing altered or synthetic content.
How videos are published
Below The Unknown is run by one person, the channel owner. Finished videos are uploaded to the owner's own YouTube channel through an internal automation that uses the YouTube Data API (YouTube API Services). The automation is used only for this channel. It is not a public app or service, and no one else can connect their YouTube account to it.
